BY Group was engaged by the client to deliver bulk earthworks, enabling infrastructure and detailed excavation for the Maddington development in Western Australia.
This project marked a significant milestone as BY Group’s first project in the Western region, requiring the mobilisation of resources, establishment of new supplier networks and development of local delivery capability within a new market.
The scope included early works, bulk earthworks, piling pad construction, temporary infrastructure and detailed excavation to support subsequent construction activities. One of the key challenges encountered during delivery was the high groundwater table, which resulted in extensive soft spot remediation to achieve the required ground conditions and compaction standards. Despite these challenges, BY Group delivered a stable and compliant platform for future works. Technical and logistical constraints were effectively managed throughout the project.
