Scope:
Internal and external repair and upgrade works of the Visitor Centre in Booderee National Park (BNP), Jervis Bay.
Internal works included:
- Demolition and modification works
- New windows
- Waterproofing of ground slabs
- Vinyl flooring
- Wall & ceiling relining and painting
- Mechanical & electrical services
External Works included:
- Demolition & stormwater modification works
- Shotcrete surface drainage works
- Roof plumbing and rainwater tank works
- Fibreglass (Envirowalk) walkway
- Disabled compliant concrete access ramp
- External painting
Key Considerations:
- Significant number of in-ground services (water, sewer, power) clashing with the shotcrete surface drain resulting in rerouting works to avoid the surface drain.
- NBN existing pit clash with proposed shotcrete surface drain resulting in redesign and alternative solution to redirect the swale
- Compliance elements in relation to the disabled access ramp
- Asbestos removal works in accordance with ACT legislation
