Scope:

Internal and external repair and upgrade works of the Visitor Centre in Booderee National Park (BNP).

Internal works included:

  • Demolition and modification works
  • New windows
  • Waterproofing of ground slabs
  • Vinyl flooring
  • Wall & ceiling relining and painting
  • Mechanical & electrical services


External Works included:

  • Demolition & stormwater modification works
  • Shotcrete surface drainage works
  • Roof plumbing and rainwater tank works
  • Fibreglass (Envirowalk) walkway
  • Disabled compliant concrete access ramp
  • External painting
Key Considerations:
  • Significant number of in-ground services (water, sewer, power) clashing with the shotcrete surface drain resulting in rerouting works to avoid the surface drain.
  • NBN existing pit clash with proposed shotcrete surface drain resulting in redesign and alternative solution to redirect the swale
  • Compliance elements in relation to the disabled access ramp
  • Asbestos removal works in accordance with ACT legislation
