BY Group was engaged to deliver bulk earthworks, piling and inground foundation works for the HV2 Data Centre development in Hobsonville, Auckland.
The earthworks scope covered site preparation, cut-to-fill operations and stock pile management to achieve design levels across the site, followed by construction and certification of piling platforms.
Piling works were then undertaken to install the foundation piles supporting the main data centre structures, with quality assurance testing carried out to confirm compliance and performance. Inground foundation works included detailed excavation, pile cropping and construction of FRP pile caps, ground beams and service pits. Works were delivered within a constrained site alongside multiple contractors operating concurrently, requiring careful staging and interface management.
