Scope:
- To undertake internal demolition of former retail tenancy
- Convert into office fit out suitable for classroom and office design including structural alterations to exiting building structure
- New base building services including new;
- Mechanical
- Hydraulics
- Electrical
- Dry fire services
- New bathroom facilities
- Upgrade of DDA/BCA compliance
- New office fit out works with industrial design theme.
Key Considerations:
- Certification hurdles with change in use of building classification
- Multiple compliance elements requiring upgrade or renewal
- Multiple stakeholders (multiple landlords members, board of CUC members) Project commencement prior to the Covid Delta outbreak in NSW and severely restricted by lockdown measures during program.
- Significant design requests/changes and challenging approvals process for each element through the multiple stakeholders.
